On Wednesdays, We Bloom Pink
Cottagecore on the rise
Do you know what cottagecore is?
I sure didn’t. For whatever reason, when I heard “cottagecore,” I pictured Hansel and Gretel— not really the vibe I’d go for.
After looking into what cottagecore actually is, I realized that it describes the whimsy style that I love.
Cottagecore romanticizes rural, nature-filled, simple living—think Little House on the Prairie. Rather than Hansel and Gretel (which, Idk what that even means anyway), the vibe of cottagecore combines soft, feminine, and whimsical elements, creating a dreamy, nostalgic feel.
“Think of flowy dresses, wildflower bouquets, homemade bread, vintage teacups, and sun-dappled gardens—that’s cottagecore in a nutshell!” -ChatGPT, leading expert on vibes & trends.
Now, I love this trend. unfortunately, my husband does not. He is more of a minimalist, clean lines, natural wood type person. Which I also really like (what can I say, I’m a woman of eclectic tastes). So our house does not look like one Laura would be proud of.
But yours might.
If you’re into cottagecore, or would even just like a sprinkle of whimsy, I’ve got the thing for you:
